In the darkness of self-enclosure

Roars dying planets, pulses of old makboutat

Innocence burns with the incense of insanity

Drowning the soul in darker depths of brutality

In the perigee of their moons  

Shines lights of long-forgotten promises 

Crawling back to the surface, to remembrance

There's an anger rising inside me
Against my fellow men
It's no ordinary anger
It's dark
It's bitter
And it's thirsty for blood

I'm blind to your light
I no longer believe in hope
I only see one fate
A fate of destruction and annihilation
And I'm rushing to it

I'm no longer human
The beast is taking over
Draining away all the joy I had
A vengeful creature
Determined to set its wrath upon the human world

My claws search in the dirt for the truth

I caught its scent on emerging trees' roots

My heart knows no more rest

Now that my eyes prey on the unseen

And so spoke the spirit and left with a sarcastic laugh

He woke up terrified and trembling

His heart pounding as if it wants to get off of his chest

He shall know no more peace

He knew it then before witnessing the calamities brought upon the world for years

Why him? Of all the people in the world, in all the hundreds of centuries

How was he able to read the ancient script? How could he understand a lost language which no one could decipher? How the fate of a whole world could be affected by the words of one page?

It doesn’t matter now to know the answers of these questions

Humanity has done its worse and brought suffering upon every living creature

And he stood upon the pile of the dead dreams and butchered innocence helpless

He was tricked

He was fooled

And he’s the only one to blame

For bringing on his kind the shame

By the devil he was cunningly framed

And thus became the disgraceful damned

All cheered and hailed

When the priest revealed the signs ordained

For the world’s savior to come

After the noise, a silence was abrupt

All heads turned towards the young man who shouted

« We failed! We failed! We failed ! »

People urged him to shush but he ignored their plead

And the priest exclaimed: “Allow him to speak!”

It’s then when the young man rose from his seat

He leaped in frenzy from bench to bench

Holding a knife to his right hand

And made it to where the priest stands

When face to face the priest cried

And called for the help of the cop at first line

Who immediately fired towards the young man’s chest

The latter didn’t put much of a fight

And left on the wall a perpendicular scratch

Where now it reads: “In Gold we trust”

Behold what you abhor

A monster of your own creation

 It has broken off a soft shell

Once warmed by the wings of love

Witness the downfall of your human conception   

Driven by the hate of a kin

A fate miswritten by a loose pen

Left to roam in dark corridors of your selfish heart

Infamous labyrinth of broken promises

Not for anyone to understand and not for one time to descend
O weird looking bird continuously failing to ascend
Roam this earth to your hearts’ content
Mystic creature, miserable by its own demise
Again you’ll get to fly and above them all you’ll rise
Let go of your ego to burn and be reborn once again

I once saw your house burn to the ground

Amidst the ashes you rose and simply walked around
Moon and sun mark the boundaries of your mundane world
Not for one time to ascend and not for anyone to understand
On bones it was decreed and through your blood it’ll be fulfilled  
Thousand deaths for a life that has no beginning and no end
